Directed by Vincent Perrot, film animator and specialist in film music, this documentary recounts Claude Bolling's vertiginous career. What is happening in the piano of this great inventor, whose work has gone through the twentieth century? And who is at the same time: living legend of the swing, Ellington disciple and conductor of a big band that has existed more than 60 years, inventor of the crossover, mix of classical and jazz, whose albums have solidly Hooked on the American Billboard for decades, and great master of the music in the image whose soundtracks have marked their collective memory: Borsalino, Lucky Luke, The Magnificent, The Tiger Brigades... This is the question that the director poses by retracing the great musical journey of the pianist and interviewing personalities from the world of cinema and music. Frémeaux & Associés, who has reissued about sixty pianist's books, partners with Vincent Perrot and the house Claude Bolling to allow the release of this precious audio-visual testimony.
