His first release in seven years, Only Dead For a Little While, finds Jon Dee Graham hitting the trifecta. And in the process raising the stakes. A native Texan, fifth generation, he has found that spot where life and love and death converge, where they are so deeply connected, inextricably bound. And he makes you feel that connection with the same raw intensity. That he does."After 15 years of trench-warfare on my own, George Fontaine and Jay Woods made it possible for me to make an album I am proud of and gave me a home label to back it. As someone who has built a career and a life outta beating the odds, this was nothing less than a miracle. I came back from death's door to make it, so it has a certain urgency to it. As such, this may be my best record yet." - Jon Dee Graham1. where it all went wrong 2. see you by the fire 3. there's a ghost on the train 4. brought me here to you5. astronaut 6. goin back to Sweden 7. brave as her (Marie Colvin)8. death ain't got no mercy9. lazarus10. #lost in the flood
