For more than half a century, James Brown shaped the sound of modern music. Widely celebrated as the architect of funk and a driving force behind the evolution of soul, R&B, and certainly hip-hop, Brown's influence can be heard across generations of artists. Now, his most iconic hits, electrifying deep cuts, and standout collaborations are brought together on this Collected double album. This 29-track anthology traces Brown's extraordinary journey, from his early breakthrough with the Famous Flames, where his raw gospel-trained vocals first caught fire, to the explosive grooves of the J.B.'s and the unstoppable momentum of his solo career. It captures the full spectrum of his artistry: the tight, horn-driven punch of "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag", the energy of "I Got You (I Feel Good)", the emotional depth of "It's A Man's Man's Man's World", and the revolutionary funk innovations behind "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine", "The Payback", "Gravity" and "Living In America." James Brown wasn't just a performer, he was a cultural force. His relentless work ethic, magnetic stage presence, and visionary approach to rhythm earned him a place in the first class of the Rhythm & Blues Music Hall of Fame, as well as induction into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Over the years, he collected titles that reflected his impact: "The Godfather of Soul", "Mr. Dynamite" and "Soul Brother No. 1." Music On Vinyl proudly presents a special coloured edition of the James Brown Collected album which is available for the first time on coloured vinyl. This limited edition of 7.500 individually numbered copies is pressed on gold coloured vinyl and includes an insert with liner notes.
