A true underground classic finally receives the deluxe treatment it always deserved! Heavy Laden Vol. 1 compiles 20 tracks of gritty, doom-tinged classic heavy metal from Rev Seven, the early-'90s brainchild of guitarist/vocalist Bill Menchen (Titanic, Final Axe, Redeemer, The Seventh Power). Featuring songs from two long-lost demo tapes-Unveiling (1991) and Hell & Back (1995)-this volume showcases Menchen's early songwriting prowess and passion for heavy, faith-centered metal.Originally issued in a short-run CD-R format on Watergrave Records in the 2000s (limited to just 250 copies), Heavy Laden Vol. 1 now returns professionally pressed for the first time ever-with brand new mastering by Rob Colwell, newly improved artwork and packaging from NoLifeTilMetal, and an 8-page booklet including band photos and lyrics (never before included).Rev Seven draws comparisons to the likes of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Pentagram, and Trouble, while also appealing to fans of Bride, Saint, Whitecross, and Dokken. Whether you're a longtime follower of Bill Menchen or a classic metal aficionado, this 20-song powerhouse is packed with molten riffs, blistering solos, apocalyptic themes, and bold declarations of faith."Heavy Laden Vol. 1 proves a consistent effort in that out of it's 20 compositions... If classic metal appeals to you, then check out 'Kingdom Come' and 'Power and Authorities,' two guitar-driven numbers standing out with their gripping chorus lines." - Original review from Watergrave CD-R editionThis is the collector's edition fans have waited for-faith-fueled, riff-heavy, and unapologetically metal.
