Singer/songwriter Sam Dees released several album through the 1970s, '80s, and the '90s and has written countless songs for many high-profile musicians including Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, George Benson and more.

He's also a pretty fine singer, having recorded for the Chess, Atlantic, Polydor, and SSS labels, and he had a nice string of his own hits in the 1970s.
