Originally released in 2011, Mona Da Vinci stands as a true gem in Tangerine Dream's remarkable catalogue, the mystical soundscapes within crafted by legendary band founder and synthesiser pioneer Edgar Froese before his passing. Now freshly remastered by band leader and Froese's protégé Thorsten Quaeschning, Mona Da Vinci sounds better than ever and remains a favourite for long-time fans as well as a sought after first for vinyl collectors. Mona Da Vinci is a sonic journey of curious, often haunting melodies and a stellar example of Tangerine Dream's masterful synth work. The EP's standout title track, became known to a whole new audience through it's inclusion in Grand Theft Auto V in 2017, one of the best-selling video games of all time. The album holds a special place as the fifth in Tangerine Dream's 'Cupdisc' series and features as a bonus addition in the 'Eastgate's Sonic Poems Series' alongside albums such as The Angel Of The West Window, Finnegan's Wake and Edgar Allan Poe's The Island Of The Fay, all of which recently received long awaited first-time vinyl releases.
