Windsor for the Derby is a study in dualities, creating music that is equal parts dance and folk, a truly disparate combination of styles that come out sounding completely organic. With Jason McNeely in Austin and Dan Matz is various locales along the East coast, WFTD always seemed more a "project" than a band. GIVING UP THE GHOST channels Italian horror film directors Mario Bava and Dario Argento by developing and exercising a sense of empathy and understanding for the deceptive nature of appearances and the destructive capacity of human nature. "A sound that should be familiar to Yo La Tengo fans, yet remains distinctly this band's own. - Pitchforkmedia"
